Technics AZ100 vs Samsung Buds3 Pro vs Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 🤔
Okay! It’s time to compare the Technics AZ100 to other popular earbuds like the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro and the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2. They’re all highly rated for sound, noise canceling and mic pickup so it’ll be interesting to know which is better for what. And at the end of this video, we’re going to discuss which one you should buy.
Mic Quality Comparison

In terms of mic pickup, the Samsungs sounded the cleanest in both quiet and noisy scenarios, while the Technics were quite comparable to the Jabras. What’s worth noting is that the AZ100 also has this special feature that applies voice filtering to the other side of the call. So if you’re calling your friend and it sounds so noisy from his side, you can activate Voice Focus AI which cleans it up. But only activate that if needed, otherwise you might just end up filtering everything.
Active Noise Cancelling Comparison
The AZ100’s active noise canceling, when compared to the rest in their default ANC settings, are good but they don’t cancel noise as completely. There’s a bit more coming through in the mid range than either the Samsung or the Jabra. Have a listen to the samples.
Transparency Mode
In terms of transparency, I find the Technics and Jabras about the same in terms of the ambient sounds being amplified, except that the Technics are passing through more in the mids, so there’s more transparency when it comes to voices. But they don’t sound as transparent as the Samsung. The Buds3 Pro sounds so clear, when you take one earbud out, there’s almost no difference between the side with and without the Samsung.

Sound Quality
Now, how different do they sound? VERY different. We can get some idea from the following frequency sweeps that the AZ100 has the heaviest bass in this comparison, big spikes in the 1.4 kHz and the region above 7kHz, but sounding more recessed in the upper mids. The Elite 10 is the most laid back in the bass region, while the Buds3 Pro places a bit more emphasis in the mids compared to the Technics so vocals will sound louder. But this is only part of the story. There’s a lot more I can say when we compare them individually after listening to the samples.

In terms of sound on their default settings, they’re somewhat tuned quite similarly, but as we heard, the AZ100 sounds more heavy and resonant, while the Buds3 Pro has more crispness. What I prefer about the Technics is the layering which adds a little more 3D-depth to the sound, and lower frequency tracks like the hum of an electric guitar sounds more visceral. But if it’s a flatter, crisper signature you want, you’ll prefer the Buds3 Pro. Apart from that, their soundstaging are quite similar, which is an intimate, closed in soundstage.
Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro excel in mic quality, transparency mode, and controls, but their features like Seamless Switching are limited to Samsung devices. The Technics AZ100 offers more flexibility with 3-way multipoint connectivity, LDAC support, and full feature access via the Technics Audio Connect app on both iOS and Android. It has a rich, engaging sound but a tighter fit. The Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 stands out with a relaxed sound, spacious soundstage, tactile button controls, and better noise canceling. Its case doubles as a wireless transmitter, and it offers a lighter fit. For Samsung users, the Buds3 Pro is a great choice, but for flexibility and features, the AZ100 is better.
