Bowers & Wilkins unleashes McLaren-inspired Zeppelin speakers
By Shawn Chung - Singapore
The Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin wireless speaker is not only an iconic, timeless design, it also inspired the premium iPod speaker-dock concept when it was launched in 2006. With the evolution of digital audio consumption over the last two decades, the Zeppelin itself has evolved into wireless smart audio.
Zeppelin McLaren Edition
A long standing partner with McLaren Automotive, Bowers & Wilkins have now announced a special McLaren-inspired version to celebrate the marque’s 60th anniversary. The Zeppelin McLaren Edition is now available at B&O boutiques for SGD 1449/USD 669, while the limited-edition 60th Anniversary model is only available at McLaren dealers.
Featuring a refined Galvanic Grey finish and subtle Papaya Orange stand and highlights - the livery of McLaren’s current F1 race cars, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition is everything you need in a modern smart speaker, offering complete high-performance sound quality with its five reference-quality drive units arranged in dedicated left and right speaker assemblies around a central, large subwoofer. With the introduction of a new wireless multi-room capability, the Zeppelin McLaren Edition, along with all compatible Zeppelins, benefits from extended multi-room compatibility with both the Panorama 3 and the Formation portfolio of wireless speakers.
Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin McLaren 60th Anniversary Edition
Only sixty pieces of the Zeppelin McLaren 60th Anniversary Edition will be produced. This limited-edition version features racing livery-inspired colours, including a vibrant orange finish, giving the Zeppelin’s instantly recognisable silhouette an even more distinctive aesthetic, while a Speedy Kiwi on the rear of the product pays homage to Bruce McLaren’s pioneering vision. The sixty limited-edition models are available exclusively from select McLaren dealerships worldwide.
