Oppo releases Enco Air3 earbuds

by Shawn Chung - Singapore

Hot on heels of the Oppo Find N2 Flip foldable, Oppo has now released their latest True Wireless earbuds, the Enco Air3, which replaces the Enco Air2.

Equipped with DSP module, the Enco Air3 not only delivers longer battery life and better sound quality than the Enco Air2, but also handles OPPO Alive Audio processing in the earbuds for a more immersive, three-dimensional sound experience. Additionally, OPPO Enco Air3 has also been upgraded to Bluetooth 5.3 so that audio and video can be synchronized for drama viewing.

The drivers in OPPO Enco Air3 earbuds have 13.4 mm diaphragms that move twice as much air as the 12 mm diaphragms found in most earbuds to provide a richer and more visceral bass response and clearer, livelier vocals. OPPO’s driver design guarantees high-fidelity sound production and the earbuds will deliver a level of detail that rewards careful listening and a more impactful listening experience.

Moreover, OPPO Enco Air3 is also equipped with Cadence Tensilica HiFi 5 DSP which delivers processing power previously unheard of in budget TWS earbuds. The DSP in OPPO Enco Air3 has 25 times more processing power than the OPPO Enco Air2. The OPPO Enco Air3 is also 35% more power efficient, with 50% longer battery life, and more accurate sound production.

Thanks to the processing power of the Cadence HiFi5 DSP, OPPO Enco Air3 earbuds bring to users the OPPO Alive Audio. The OPPO Alive Audio processing allows users to enjoy movie theater-standard surround sound regardless of the phone or audio player they use.

The Enco Air3 has a translucent case that opens to an angle of 110° angle, and users holding it in their hands will find that the case has a slightly elastic feel to it, and they will be able to make out the blurry outline of the earbuds inside. When the case is opened up, the buds lie in their horizontal grooves. This design means that taking them out is effortless, even for users with long fingernails. Magnets in the case and stems also hold the earbuds in place, so while they can be easily removed, they will not fall out as easily.

The design of the stems is even more ingenious as the transparent rounded base resembles a glittering dewdrop that makes for a striking visual impression. Each earbud weighs just 3.7 grams, so they can be worn for prolonged periods without discomfort. Enco Air3 is also rated IP54, making it splash resistant.

In addition to sound quality and design, the OPPO Enco Air3 adopts Bluetooth 5.3 low-latency transmission, which has lower delay and stronger anti-interference, so that mobile phone users of different brands and configurations can enjoy a consistent audio and video synchronization experience. The dual-connection function of Bluetooth devices solves the cumbersome operation of switching between two devices. After one device is paused and muted, the other device can press play to resume listening.

In terms of battery life, the earbuds can be used independently for up to 6 hours, and can provide a maximum of 25 hours of battery life with the charging case. The earbuds also support flash charging so users can enjoy two hours of music on a 10-minute charge.

The OPPO Enco Air3 is priced at US$49/SG$109 and avaliable at OPPO’s online and concept stores, OPPO’s TikTok, Lazada, Qoo10, and Shopee stores, authorised retailers, and partner consumer electronic stores.
