The Marshall Middleton lets you party anywhere
By Shawn Chung - Singapore
Middleton is a relatively common English surname, and also used for many a location (in Old English it means “middle” and “town”), so I don’t think Marshall named its new Middleton portable speaker after Kate Middleton, currently Catherine, Princess of Wales.
First announced on the 31st of January, and now available worldwide, the Middleton slots in the middle of Marshall’s portable Bluetooth speaker family, between the Emberton II and the Killburn II, combining the portability and battery life of the Emberton II with the audio performance of the Killburn II, plus one unique feature of its own - it’s IPX67 water and dust resistant, so it’s perfectly at home in your kitchen, or as you groove out to Rina Sawayama at a wet and muddy Glastonbury, come July.
And for an added bonus, up to 55% of its body is created from post-consumer recycled plastic from used electronics, water bottles and automotive light covers, plus it’s 100% PVC-free.
For supreme audio performance, the Middileton rocks a quad speaker setup that combines two 20w and two 10w Class D amplifiers, with Marshal’s True Stereophonic technique to enable multi-directional stereo sound. A complete single charge takes 4.5 hours, enabling 20+ hours of portable playtime, and you can stack and connect multiple Middleton speakers with Stack Mode and for sound as big as you can imagine.
The Marshall Middleton is available in Cream or Black & Brass for US$299.99, SG$499 at the Marshall Online store and TCacoustic.asia, as well as major retail stores.
