Honor Power Becomes First Smartphone with 8000 mAh Battery
Singapore, April 19, 2025 - Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei, has just officially unveiled its newest smartphone called the Honor Power. Just like the name suggests, the phone stands out for its battery. It is the first smartphone to feature a massive 8000 mAh battery while still keeping a slim profile at only 7.98 mm thick.
This impressive feat is made possible by Honor’s third-generation silicon carbon battery technology, which not only allows for a bigger battery but also extends its lifespan. According to Honor, the battery can last up to six years.
That is not all. Honor also introduced a new communication chip called the C1 Plus. This chip helps stabilize signal reception in areas with weak signals, such as inside buildings. The phone also supports two-way communication with the Beidou satellite system, allowing users to send messages even without cellular signal.
The Honor Power comes with a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and includes 12 GB of RAM. Honor also highlighted the phone’s durability with its upgraded Ten-sided Anti-fall Shock-absorbing Structure 2.0. The phone is fully water resistant and remains protected even when submerged.
Another standout feature is the AI Rain technology. With this, the screen stays responsive even in the rain, as it can tell the difference between raindrops and your fingers so you can keep using it without issues.
The Honor Power will be available exclusively in China and comes in three colors: cream, white, and black. Prices range from 1999 yuan to 2499 yuan, which is approximately 273 to 342 US dollars.
